1) Website use

2) Newsletter
You can subscribe to a free newsletter through our website. The data from the contact form is transmitted to us when you subscribe to the newsletter. If you provide your contact data in other ways (e.g. in the form of business cards, oral or written queries to us, etc.), we may then use them to send a newsletter. We will not disclose your information to third parties. The subscription to the newsletter can be cancelled by the user at any time. For this purpose, a corresponding link can be found in every newsletter and on our website. The user’s email address will therefore be stored for as long as the newsletter subscription is active. The newsletter will be sent using the MailChimp email delivery service provider. The newsletters contain a “web-beacon”, i.e. a pixel-sized file that is retrieved from the server when opening the newsletter from our server or that of our email delivery service provider. During the download, technical information such as your browser and operating system, as well as your IP address and the time of the download, are collected. This information is used for technical improvement of the service, as technical data or target group data can be analysed according to their reading behaviour, their download locations (identifiable through IP addresses), or download times. Statistical data collection also includes an analysis of whether the newsletters are opened, when they are opened and which links are clicked on. Although this information technically allows the tracking of individual newsletter recipients, we are not interested in monitoring the behaviour of individual users. More importantly, data analysis is used to recognise patterns in the reading behaviour of our users, and to adapt contents accordingly or send different content according to the interests of our users.

3) Business-related storage of data
We process personal data in order to fulfil our contractual obligations and to ensure a high quality of service, billing, to maintain our customer relationship, to further develop our services, to ensure the safety of the operation and infrastructure, and to get in contact with you. This data relates to our customers, suppliers, prospective customers and their employees. Furthermore, we store information regarding potential suppliers, potential customers, event organisers and other business partners on the basis of our business interests. The information is stored in a customer relationship management system (CRM system) and, if required by the order, in our order processing system (ERP system) and by the financial department. The purpose of the data processing is – among other things – for customer acquisition, e.g. to make contact, maintain relationships with customers, suppliers and other business partners, to provide contractual services, maintenance and support services, and to issue invoices for our services. We process data which is necessary to justify and fulfil the contractual services. In principle, we store this data, which is mainly company-related, permanently. We disclose or transmit data to consultants such as tax advisers, our audit department, and any payment service providers. We disclose your information to government agencies only when legally mandated to do so.
