along with onway – how long have you been on board?

I have been part of the onway team since September 2019.

What tasks does your role include?

I am responsible for everything and anything related to marketing and communication. Together with my colleague, I implement various measures to increase the awareness of onway and to support our sales team. From the initial idea to design and publication, we accomplish a great deal directly in-house.

What do you particularly enjoy about your job?

As we are a very small team in the Marketing department, our area of responsibility is very diverse. I enjoy working on different projects. My work ranges from designing a trade fair stand, developing a storyboard for an explanatory video, copywriting the newsletter and updating the website through to designing and planning entire campaigns. This variety makes my work very exciting and thanks to short decision-making processes, we can get things off the ground quickly.

Which technologies and topics do you come across in your job?

Digital channels lead the way within onway’s IT-dominated environment, and as a result of the pandemic, these channels have also permeated previously “offline-dominated” media and measures. In the past, for example, trade fairs were the meeting place for professionals, where they could exchange ideas and network. Nowadays, these – like many other events – are often held in a hybrid fashion, which results in more planning since two events are being held in parallel, so to speak.
However, the strengthening of digital channels has also brought many advantages. For instance, people now have a greater affinity for various online tools, so that participating in a webinar or holding a brief online meeting is no longer particularly challenging. This makes it easier for us to access our target group.
Of course, we still also produce image material in printed form. The value of paper and having something to hold in your hands should not be underestimated. But there has certainly been a shift from paper to electronic media.

What professional expertise are you bringing to the table?

I have been working in marketing, PR and communication for over 20 years. I gained my professional experience from both an advertising-agency and client perspective. After training as a communications manager and undertaking various further training courses in this field, I was able to expand and deepen my specialist knowledge in various sectors – such as luxury goods, agriculture, IT, etc.

What are your plans for the future, what do you definitely want to achieve with onway?

I would like onway to become even more well-known in our target group, so that everyone shares the same motto: “There’s only one way: go to onway!” 🙂

Why onway? To me, working at onway means…

…working very independently yet still always being able to rely on a fantastic, well-positioned team. At onway, the focus is on doing a good job – what time of day it is done is of secondary importance. I also value the freedom to work from home. This flexibility allows me to have the best possible work-life balance yet still meet my team colleagues regularly in the office.

Any final words?

We are never too old for fun in life – after all, we only have one!
