Powerful network in a challenging environment

Initial situation

Kuratle & Jaecker AG is a Swiss company that operates in the wood processing sector and serves
commercial enterprises nationwide in the wood processing sector with a diverse range of products.
The company modus one ag specialises in the implementation and maintenance of network solutions and IT infrastructures for companies and was commissioned by Kuratle & Jaecker to build the network infrastructure.

Placement of access points

For new installations, extensions or large-scale installations, the location of the access points is crucial for the performance and the greatest possible coverage of a WLAN network. To determine this optimal location, detailed measurements – so-called site surveys – must be carried out on site.

Site survey by onway

onway specialises in such site surveys, which is why we were commissioned by modus one to carry out an extensive site survey at Kuratle & Jaecker’s central warehouse in Leibstadt. Our well-trained and certified employees were able to draw on their many years of experience in conducting site surveys in challenging environments and work correspondingly efficiently in this project as well. As we regularly carry out such measurements for a wide range of customers, we are always up to date in terms of innovations and technologies.

Spacious facility

In addition to the central warehouse, four halls and an outdoor area were measured. For such radio measurements, we work with the software «Ekahau Site Survey Pro». To reach the required antenna height, the onway employees used a mobile lifting platform during the survey. In addition to the impressive working height, the busy traffic in the surveyed warehouses always had to be taken into account. Therefore, special attention was paid to work safety and our employees were equipped with, among other things, light waistcoats and steel-toed shoes.
